Yoga

Every time I go to yoga class, I immediately go into a different state of mind. I immediately feel better; more peaceful with more mental clarity. It's amazing what yoga does to the mind and body. In yoga, you contract and release muscles in such a way that it releases tension from your body and also from your mind. You coordinate your body and breath in such a way that your mind activity decreases and you feel more serene. You feel more like yourself, in your true essence.


Sometimes I go to yoga class with so many things on my mind, but when I'm in the class, doing the sequences, I notice how my thoughts dissolve, like clouds vanishing in the sky. I go into my body and I feel my body from within. Yoga takes you out of your mind, and into your energetic body. It brings you home to yourself. That is why Yoga means union. It is a union with your inner self.
